Ecowall Light weight Fire Rated DM Approved Partition

Ecowall

Ecowall is premium quality Dubai Municipality-approved partition wall system. Ecowall offers sustainable construction with the benefit of cost-efficiency and time-saving. Ecowall is Dubai Green Building Regulation Compliant with a minimum 4-hours Fire Rating at a thickness of 100 mm and Dubai Civil Defense Approved.

Ecowall at an application thickness of 100 mm combines the technical advantages of both drywalls and concrete walls: two heavy duty cement boards are casted in-situ on galvanized steel frame and filled with Perlite Lightweight Fire-Rated Concrete application using Gulf Perlite RS Pump mixing and pumping stations. Ecowall system is approved by Dubai Municipality to directly replace blockwork, lintels and plasters at all residential, commercial, villa, high-rise, mall, hotel, mixed-use projects for partition wall applications within the apartments, between the apartments and the corridors and at the inter-tenancy walls.

Ecowall Dead Load

Ecowall type 1 – Dead Load (100 mm thick)

  • 2 X 9 mm thick HD Cement Boards X 13.41 Kg/m2 = 26.82 Kg/m2
  • 82 mm thick Perlite LW Fire-resistant Concrete Fill, dry density of max. 850 Kg/m3 = 69.7 Kg/m2
  • Galvanized frame vertical at every 400 mm and horizontal side beams at every 600 mm = max. 2 Kg/m2
  • Total 98.52 Kg/m2, thus max. 0.95 KN/m2

Ecowall type 2 – Dead Load (200 mm thick)

  • 2 X 12 mm thick HD Cement Boards X 18.75 Kg/m2 = 37.5 Kg/m2
  • 176 mm thick Perlite LW Fire-resistant Concrete Fill, dry density of max. 850 Kg/m3 = 149.6 Kg/m2
  • Galvanized frame vertical at every 400 mm and horizontal side beams at every 600 mm = max. 6 Kg/m2
  • Total 193.1 Kg/m2, thus max. 1.9 KN/m2

Dead load of 100 mm thick AAC blockworks and plasters

  • Blockwork: 550 Kg/m3 * 0.1 m = 55 Kg /m2 = 0.54 KN/m2
  • Plaster on 2 sides (2 + 2 cm) = 0.04 * 20 kN/m3 = 0.8 KN/m2
  • Allowance of mortar joints = 5 rows * 0.005 * 0.100 * 20 kN/m2 = 0.1 kN/m2
  • Allowance of lintels, beams, columns, etc. = 0.3 kN/m2
  • Total weight for 100 mm blockwork = 1.74 kN/m2

Dead load of 200 mm thick blockworks and plasters

  • Blockwork: 550 Kg/m3 * 0.2 m = 110 Kg /m2 = 1.09 KN/m2
  • Plaster on 2 sides (2 + 2 cm) = 0.04 * 20 kN/m3 = 0.8 KN/m2
  • Allowance of mortar joints = 5 rows * 0.005 * 0.200 * 20 kN/m2 = 0.2 kN/m2
  • Allowance of lintels, beams, columns, etc. = 0.6 kN/m2
  • Total weight for 100 mm blockwork = 2.69 kN/m2

Ecowall is lighter than AAC blockworks at all thicknesses.
